Fodder for Dairy farming

Feed for dairy cows amounts to around 60% - 70% of the cost of milk production. Thus making it one of the most important factor to consider while investing in dairy farming. Using the traditional cultivation of fodder is becoming more tougher as land is mostly used for food cultivation than fodder. Though the residue from crops constitute around 30% - 40% of dry fodder mostly like straws, leaves and stalks.
